We teach a dynamic style of Hatha Yoga.  Precise instructions emphasise postural alignment, yoga equipment allows everyone to practise to their full capacity. Stillness in each posture allows the mind to reflect.

Yoga is an art and science originating in the Yoga Sutras written about 2000 years ago.  The word ‘Yoga’ means ‘Union’ ~ between body and mind, between the individual and their world.  
As taught in western Yoga schools today, Yoga is breathing and postures (‘Hatha Yoga’), where the focus is more physical, but the spiritual roots remain.

Yin Yoga
​On the last Thursday of the month, the regular 10.15-11.45am Yoga session is Yin Yoga.
Yin (restorative) Yoga offers supported postures which are held for up to 5-8  minutes.  Stillness in the body helps the mind to settle and relax.  Rest deeply into the postures feeling release, spaciousness and calm.  It is especially useful when you need to eliminate fatigue and stress and generate new reserves of energy and resilience.  

For beginners & experienced.
Mon 11am-12 is Yogalates.

Yogalates combines elements of both Yoga and Pilates.​
Develop your core strength and stabilisation through pilates poses, and improve your flexibility, muscular strength, posture and alignment through yoga poses, breathing and relaxation.
Especially suitable if you are experienced in either yoga or pilates and are interested in giving the other one a try.
